Code 3 Transports currently does not contract with drivers directly for the Oil Field Services Division. We have agreements in place with truck and trailer owners, who in turn employ drivers to utilize their equipment. We do, however, always seem to have a need for reliable drivers who want to work. Contact us and we can possibly put you in touch with an Owner that may be in need of your services. On occasion, we see a sudden rise in demand and may also be able to work in additional drivers to assist with that rising demand. These positions are often seen as a ‘tryout’ and will often result in that driver getting on full-time.

A little more about the role…
In the West Texas Oil Fields, we handle dispatch services for vacuum tanker trucks and mostly work with truck owner/operators, or owners that hire their own drivers. Drivers generally make around $22-$25 an hour as 1099 employees. For those that are available full-time, they average around 85 hours a week. This equates to $30/hr on avg. Drivers often work 3 weeks on and 1 week off, resulting in right at $100k annual pay. Those a little more ambitious can easily make more. Requirements include Class A CDL, HM Endorsement, the ability to handle driving on unpaved roads, deal with the West Texas heat and the implied standard physical requirements. DOT drug and alcohol testing required.
